Karcher Senior Living is excited to welcome Lila Fladwood as our new Activities Director. A lifelong Nampa resident with 15 years of experience in senior living, Lila brings passion, creativity, and heart to every event she plans — and her approach to activities is inspired by a lifetime of hands-on experience.
Lila’s connection to senior living began early. “My mom was a caregiver nurse here in Nampa,” Lila recalls. “I used to ride my bike after school to see her and watch her engage with residents. She always made activities fun and meaningful — giving residents purpose and joy. I think I’ve been channeling my mama ever since.”
Even as a little girl, Lila loved helping create decorations and host parties for residents. Today, she continues that tradition on a larger scale, designing programs that bring smiles, laughter, and engagement to everyone at Karcher Senior Living. “I’ve always just wanted to make people happy,” she says. “Our residents deserve to be treated with dignity and valued for everything they’ve accomplished in life.”
The Importance of Staying Active
Studies consistently show that staying active and socially engaged in older age has a profound impact on physical, emotional, and cognitive well-being. According to the National Institute on Aging, seniors who regularly participate in activities experience improved memory, better mobility, and reduced feelings of isolation.
At Karcher Senior Living, Lila ensures residents can enjoy everything from arts and crafts, music, and fitness programs to storytelling, games, and community outings — all designed to foster connection and purpose.
“I want prospective residents to know that they are so welcome here,” Lila says. “You will feel at home. Tell me the things you enjoy, and we’ll incorporate them into our activities. We’re here to make every day meaningful and fun.”
A Life Full of Adventure
Outside of Karcher Senior Living, Lila’s energy and zest for life shine through. She was awarded Nampa’s Resident of the Year and enjoys riding her Harley — a special gift built by her husband. Lila also loves spending time with her grandkids, cheering them on at sporting events and bringing treats for all the kids.
With Lila at the helm of activities, residents at Karcher Senior Living can look forward to days full of fun, laughter, and engagement — all while enjoying the independence and community they deserve.
